Plan the siding pattern and finishing together
Use photographs of the whole exterior to discuss how the horizontal siding will meet windows, doors, corners and other surfaces. Ask to compare the current profiles, colors and textures available for your project. The appearance of a sample is only one part of the decision; preparation and installation also need to suit the existing building.
Ask what happens if damaged material is found during preparation and which trim, soffit and finishing work is included in the estimate. Review the proposed product specifications, maintenance instructions and written warranty. Confirm the agreed scope and exclusions so you can compare complete siding proposals.
